Chairman of Eijkman Institute
Prof. Amin Soebandrio is a specialist in Microbiology with a background in immunology of infection, sepsis, and antimicrobial resistance. As the Chairman of Eijkman Institute, he also held other notable positions in the life science community related to infectious diseases research and prevention; including as Chairman of Steering Committee at Asia Partnership for Emerging Infectious-disease Research (APEIR), Chairman of Expert Panel at National Committee on Zoonotic Disease Control and Prevention, and as Member of National Committee for Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Disease.
Prof. Amin is active in research projects involving dengue and arbovirus molecular epidemiology, antiviral research, and immunology.

Prof. Dr. Amarila Malik, M.Si., Apt completed her Bachelor degree on Pharmacy from Universitas Indonesia, master degreee on Pharmacy from Institut Teknologi Bandung and doctoral degree on Biology and Microbiology from Institut Pertanian Bogor. She took the role as postdoctoral research associate of molecular biology research at Oakland University, Michigan USA and postdoctoral research fellow on microbiology and molecular genetics research at University of Texas, Health Science Center, Houston, USA.

Dr. Ratih Asmana Ningrum, S.Si, M.Si is currently a researcher in LIPI with different roles aside from being a scientist, such as liaison officer, chief editor of Biotrend magazine, and many more. She completed her associate degree in Chemistry from Universitas Padjajaran and her Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Universitas Jenderal Ahmad Yani. She then continued to pursue her Master and Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from Institut Teknologi Bandung.

Chong Mun Keat, PhD

Chong Mun Keat is the regional instrument field application scientist in the Bioscience Division, Merck Millipore Lab Emerging Asia. He provides technical supports, develops training curriculum for internal team and customers, and presents seminars. Mun Keat received his undergraduate and PhD degrees from the National University of Singapore, under the supervision of Professor Mary Ng Mah Lee. He has 7 years of research experience in molecular virology with vast knowledge on protein expression and purification, cellular analyses, molecular cloning and high-throughput screening.
He has presented more than 20 conference papers in international and local conferences with 2 best oral presentation awards and 1 young investigator award. .
