Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences | IVANNA, S.SI, M.SC.

In 2012, she was awarded the highly competitive Erasmus Mundus Scholarship and joined the Interuniversity Program of Molecular Biology, of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Antwerpen Universiteit and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. She worked with Reproduction and Genetic research group of the VUB during the academic year of 2013-2014 on her master thesis 'DNA Damage in hESC Cultured on Feeder-free Conditions: The Impact of Cell Density'. After completing her Master study, she became a Research Assistant at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Science, National Taiwan University, and worked on understanding structures and functions of primary cilia, an important organelle essential for key cell signaling pathways, including sonic hedgehog signaling, non-canonical Wnt signaling, and PDGFα signaling, in mammalian and stem cells.

Researches and projects:

  • Institute of Atomic and Molecular Science, Academia Sinica, supervised by Dr. Jung Chi Liao; researched on RPGRIP1L role in transition zone formation in primary cilia.
  • Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Research Group Reproduction and Genetic, promoted by Prof. Dr. Claudia Spits; researched on “DNA Damage in hESC Cultured on Feeder-free Condition: The Impact of Cell Density”
  • Institut Teknologi Bandung, Department of Microbiology, Aquaculture Research Group, promoted by Dr. Gede Suantika; Researched on “Identification and Optimization of Indigenous Probiotic Bacteria Against Vibrio Harveyi Isolated from Hatchery of Litopenaeus vannamei Culture in Situbondo, East Java.”
    • Received the Program Hibah Strategis Nasional DIPA ITB Research Grant
